Age UK Richmond - 6-week Pickleball Course
Active Hampton - Active Hampton, Tangley Park Road, Hampton, UK
Pickleball is a fun new sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Pickleball can be played indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court. Two or four players use solid wooden paddles to hit a plastic ball over a net. It incorporates many of the skills of racquet sports but doesn't require the same speed and force, making it ideal for over 55s.
Age UK Richmond is running a 6 week introductory course inside the fantastic sports hall at Active Hampton (situated in the square by the White House Family Hub, the Sainsburys and the Hampton Ale House).
The pickleball course starts on Wednesday 3 June at 10am and the total cost is £36. All bats, balls and equipment are provided.
The course is 6 weeks but we will take a one week break after 2 sessions - thus lessons will take place on:
- 3 June
- 10 June
- *No session on 17 June*
- 24 June
- 1 July
- 8 July
- 15 July
This course is for people over the age of 55 living in the borough of Richmond and is offered in partnership with Age UK Richmond and Active Hampton.
