Age UK Richmond: Seaside trip to Whitstable

Join Age UK Richmond on a fascinating day out! A coach will do two local pick ups in Twickenham and Whitton and we will travel together to Whitstable.  We will spend the day exploring the shops, cafes and also walk along the pebble beach.. The coach will bring us back to Twickenham and Whitton at the end of the day.

Whitstable is like no other town by the sea. Its traditional charms, rich maritime history and strong arts culture complements the modern town.

Part of the Canterbury District, Whitstable's main claim to fame is its oysters which remain an intrinsic part of this sea town's character and are celebrated every July at the Oyster Festival

Things to do in Whitstable

Oysters and other delicacies from the sea can be enjoyed at the local restaurants and pubs or taken home from the fresh fish market at the harbour. While in Whitstable why not visit the town's famous Farmers Markets where most food is organic and all stalls are local from a 30 mile radius of the town.

Leaving from Twickenham Wellbeing Centre at 9.30am and picking up at Whitton at 9.40am 

Leaving Whitstable at 4pm to come back to our centres.

Please Note:  When the tide is low people can walk on the beach but please be aware that it is a pebble beach.

This outing is for people over the age of 55 living in the borough of Richmond on Thames.
