Age UK Richmond - 6 Week Strength Training Class at ETNA

Join our strength training class with Ash at the ETNA Centre, St Margarets for over 55s.
The course will begin on 9th March with the last session taking place on 20th April, as there'll be no class on 6th April (Easter Monday).
Strength training becomes increasingly important with age, due to natural changes in the body. Here's why it matters:
Weight training helps to preserve muscle mass and strength: After age 30, women lose about 3–8% of muscle mass per decade, and this accelerates after 60.
Reduces risk of osteoporosis: Women are at a higher risk for osteoporosis post-menopause due to hormonal changes (like decreased estrogen).
Weight training strengthens stabilizing muscles, improves balance and coordination, and reduces the risk of falls and fractures.
Please book your place in advance, ideally online. Places are sold in six-week blocks at £30 per person.
